A chance to explore the nature of Cartland Craigs, including bluebells and badgers (if the group is quiet!). There will also be spectacular views of the river gorge and Thomas Telford’s dramatic Cartland Bridge. Finally, we shall visit the mysterious remains of Castle Qua. No dogs please.

Directions: Cartland Bridge car park is on A73. 1km north west of Lanark. A small car park at the north western end of Cartland Bridge (space for approx. 6 cars). Please exercise caution in using this car park, as it is located on a sharp bend.
