Allow us to tell you a bit about a braw event brought to you by Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, The ARCHIE Foundation, DC Thomson and Wild in Art that will unite businesses, communities, artists and schools, and leave a lasting legacy for Scotland.
From 17 June to 30 August 2019, the streets and open spaces of Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Dundee, Inverness & beyond will become home to more than 200 individually designed giant Oor Wullie statues – alongside over 350 mini sculptures decorated by local schools, youth and community groups – showcasing the wealth of creative talent in the country.
We invite a’body, young and young at heart, to be inspired, get involved and celebrate the character and creativity of Scotland by joining Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail. Grab a map or download the free App to start ticking them off your bucket list!
When the trail ends, the sculptures will be brought together in their respective cities and exhibited for two days as part of a Farewell Weekend. The culmination of the campaign will be a series of regional auctions to raise significant funds for each of the charities involved. The vision of ‘Oor Wullie’s Big Bucket Trail’ is for every child attending hospital in Scotland to benefit as a result of this unique project.
Oor Wullie’s Big Bucket Trail is the chance to inspire one of the most spectacular and ambitious fundraising art projects that Scotland has ever seen!
