MyParkScotland is getting out there

9th December 2014 Leave a Comment

November was a busy month for the MyParkScotland project attending Friends of Parks Forums in both Glasgow and Edinburgh to talk about the project and a workshop at Nesta with the other 10 Rethinking Parks projects.

To help spread the word about MyParkScotland we have launched @myparkscot on twitter and the MyParkScotland Facebook page – please get in touch if you want to find out more about the project. Our website is in development but meantime you can check out the MyParkScotland below and read the survey findings.

MyParkScotland is a direct response to the funding challenges facing Scotland’s parks. The project will develop a web-based platform that combines elements of crowdfunding for local projects with an investment strategy for developing sustainability and endowment funds. It will also provide a ‘parks-portal’ with info about park events, activities and facilities. greenspace scotland is pioneering the development of MyParkScotland in Edinburgh and Glasgow – with the longer term intention to roll-out Scoland-wide.
This video is part of a Rethinking Parks application to Nesta and Heritage Lottery Fund.
