So we are already nearly halfway through the first month of 2016 and we are really pleased to announce not only another project that reached it’s funding target but also some new and exciting projects on the site.
The project “Let’s bring the bandstand back to life” in Saughton Park, Edinburgh by securing grant funding reached the £10,000 target at the end of 2015. We will keep you updated on the progress of this exciting restoration project.
**UPDATE** More good news that it has been confirmed a Heritage Lottery grant of £3.8m has been secured for the redevelopment of Saughton Park, see Saughton Park secures Heritage Lottery Fund investment for more information.
There is a wide range of different projects currently listed on the site that are looking for support:
Newhaven Heritage want to create a Garden under the Armada Stone on Newhaven Main Street, Edinburgh.
The Friends of Inverleith Park want to install at least 6 pieces of outdoor fitness equipment specially designed for more mature adults in Inverleith Park, Edinburgh.
The Friends of Glasgow Local Nature Reserves want to instal floating biohaven islands on Hogganfield Loch to provide safe nesting and resting spaces for birds and help improve water quality.
Multi-Mini Residents Association and Maryhill Housing Association need support to create an exciting new community space at the heart of Ledgowan Place, Maryhill.
Glasgow Tree Lovers Society laid the Commonwealth Compass on 31 November 2015 at Glasgow Green and require a small amount of money to install Information Boards.
