We were staying in Tayvallich for a couple of days on holiday and came down to Taynish for a walk on our last day. We took the path that leads to a boardwalk with a place to sit and enjoy the views across the wetlands, before making our way down to the ruins of Taynish Mill.
The mill was very impressive and the information board was informative- it was great to see a visual interpretation of what the mill would have looked like back when it was operational. We followed the path down to the shore, where you get a great view across Loch Sween and really enjoyed reading the Poetry book beside the bench, as well as all the lovely reviews left inside.
A great place to go for a beautiful walk among the trees, with an interesting cultural history.
