This is an exposed greenspace on the seafront at St Andrews along the coast. It has an interesting history with the tall sandstone martyrs monument, areas relating to the early history of St Andrews.
It comprises the roof of the golf museum, its landform is undulating with hollows, steep slopes, flat areas and cliff tops. There are attractive ornamental flower beds, tarmac paths and the freshly repainted bandstand. Paths lead down and across the space, connecting to restaurants, beach, sea swimming pools and the aquarium. The space is overlooked by houses.
