Buckstone Park and Woods is in the South East of Buckstone, a residential area of Edinburgh (EH10). The park is 7,500 square metres (80,000 square feet) in size, with a total perimeter length of around 450 metres, excluding the woods which extend much further.
The space is open to all with direct access from Buckstone Circle on the West side and through a gate from Galachlawshot on the East. It is flanked along its length by pine woodlands with various points of entry to the woodland paths, which are well used by people in the area. On the North side the paths lead through the woods to various popular destinations
Mortonhall Estate with its historic Stable Bar and Klondyke Garden Centre
Alnwickhill and Seven Acre Park via path and bridleway
Mortonhall Golf Club
Braid Road and Hills
Following the paths through the woods to Mortonhall provides views across Edinburgh to the East.
The woods to the South of the park connect Buckstone Circle with Mounthooly Loan, through a cycle/pedestrian friendly alley which soon connects back to the woods on the Northern side, providing a number of circular walks in the area.
