Commonhead Moss Local Nature Reserve is a raised bog which can be explored and viewed via a short path network. The raised bog is home to a wide variety of wildlife including the locally rare Green Hairstreak butterfly, the locally rare Bog Rosemary and Bog Myrtle and many insects including moths, dragonflies and damselflies. There are also many bird species to be seen, including buzzards usually seen circling overhead.
Commonhead Moss Local Nature Reserve lies within the Seven Lochs Wetland Park.
