Glasgow, Cathedral Burial Ground
The famous Glasgow Cathedral stands within this extensive graveyard, which in post-Reformation times was extended to take-in much of the medieval precinct including the Chanonry (houses of the Canons) to the North. Famous memorials include:
- James Grahame, poet
- Peter Low, founder of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow
- Charles Macintosh, Scottish Chemist and Inventor
- Saint Mungo, Apostle of Strathclyde, Scotland, also known as St Kentigern.
