The world-renowned ‘Parallel Roads’ of Glen Roy are embossed on the landscape like the remnants of a massive engineering project. Below, the River Roy splashes down its rocky course, surrounded by a narrow strip of woodland, where buzzards circle overhead.
Take time amongst this vast landscape to appreciate the tremendous forces of nature. Wildlife here includes red deer, ravens, buzzards and the occasional golden eagle, with pockets of native birch and oak woodland rich in spring flowers.
