Park information

The Helix is an outdoor recreational park land found between Falkirk and Grangemouth, covering over 350 hectares of green space and offering fun for visitors of all ages to enjoy the outdoors. The park and it’s recreational facilities as well as the visitors centre are all run by Falkirk Community Trust.

Some of the facilities include a lagoon for water activities, splash fountains, café, Adventure zone as well as a boardwalk that allows you to cross a wetland.

The Helix is also home to The Kelpies. Standing at 30 metres tall, and weighing over 300 tonnes each, The Kelpies are the world’s largest equine sculptures towering over the Forth and Clyde canal. Visitors to The Kelpies can take part in a fascinating guided tour, discovering the art, history and engineering behind Scotland’s newest `must see` visitor attraction.

There is a Visitor Centre that offers views of the Kelpies from the cafe which sells delicious home made local produce and offers an extensive retail range. The Park has 27km of path networks that lead into it allowing local communities to arrive on foot or bicycle.
