This old cemetery can be found hidden on Shettleston Road behind an 8ft, 2ft-thick wall. The large open space in the central area of this cemetery is where Shettleston Parish church stood before it collapsed due to coal mining, making the ground unstable. At the entrance to the cemetery stand two stone sentry boxes.
Most of the graveyard stones date back to the 18th century. The Mathers, the last owners of Provan Hall, are buried here.
