Project Success!!

10th January 2017 Leave a Comment

We are delighted that £16,601 has been raised for this project, a combination of individual donations by the public, a hundred pounds from the co-operative’s carrier bag levy and around sixteen thousand pounds of planning gain money made available through Falkirk Council following a contribution from a local development.n r

The path has been resurfaced and is already improving the Saturday morning parkrun experience as well as general public access.

Positive comments have already been received from a commuter who uses the route in the dark during the winter who was struggling with the potholes and a young family who had difficulty pushing their buggy over the previous uneven surface. Thank you so much to everyone who made the project happen. We’ve been able to close the crowdfund early due to all the funds needed being raised.

Waymarker posts and a start line for the parkrun route will be installed before Easter 2017 to finish off the physical work in the park.

Falkirk Community Trust would like to say a big thankyou to all the people who donated through the crowdfund page.
