The Clyde Climate Forest
Over the next decade, ten trees for every man, woman and child in Glasgow City Region will be planted.
New woodland planting will bring benefits to local communities by providing opportunities for people to get out and get planting to improve their local area and engage with nature on their doorstep. New planting will also connect up woodlands to help restore nature and boost biodiversity.
Where will the Clyde Climate Forest (CCF) be?
Communities and individuals can come together to support the project to help improve local environments. Some of the projects already underway include:
Faifley Knowes Park, Clydebank - 600 trees planted by TCV bringing multiple benefits for local wildlife and people
Seven Lochs Tiny Forest - Native trees planted as the first of many ‘tiny forests’! Part of Scotland’s largest urban nature park.
You can help us plant trees
Come to a tree planting event with your family and friends - We’re keen to involve local people in planting trees in neighbourhoods with low levels of tree cover, especially young people as they will gain most from seeing these trees grow and thrive in years to come.

Why Donate to the Clyde Climate Forest?
If you are enthusiastic about trees you can help us to find the funding required for new trees and their care. You can also help us to find sites where trees can be planted.
These might be:
> Replacing lost street trees;
> Street side grass areas that could accommodate trees;
> Corners of a playing field or a park where a small wood might fit in.
Help us raise funds by:
> Organising a fundraising event
> Getting a local company to sponsor a tree planting scheme
> Donating the cost of a tree, or several trees

Gift Aid Declaration
Boost your donation by 25p of Gift Aid for every £1 donated.
Gift Aid is reclaimed by MyParkScotland from the tax you pay for the current year. Your address is needed to identify you as a UK taxpayer.
By choosing a donation level that includes Gift Aid you confirm that I am a UK taxpayer and understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations it is my responsibility to pay any difference.
The additional funds generated through Gift Aid donations are invested in the park endowment fund which supports the long term management of our wonderful parks.
Please notify MyParkScotland if you:
- want to cancel this declaration
- change your name or home address
- no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains
If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code
MyParkScotland provides a safe and easy way to make a donation to support this great project.
To make a donation, click on ‘Support Now’ and select your choice of Gift Level. If you are a UK tax payer, selecting a Level which includes Gift Aid means that we can top up your donation at no extra cost to you. Adding Gift Aid typically means that your online donation of, for example, £10 becomes a park investment of £11.53 (after paying platform and management fees). You need to provide your address to enable us to claim Gift Aid.
Gift Aid is a Government scheme which allows charities to increase the value of donations made to them. Gift Aid makes a huge difference to small charities and local organisations, but if they aren’t registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and HMRC, they can’t claim Gift Aid (and many that could claim Gift Aid don’t because they find the process too complicated). At MyParkScotland, we take care of the claim process on eligible donations, so that the Friends and community groups can concentrate on the great work they do in our parks.
We use PayPal to manage online donations and they charge a small platform fee for handling donations. We work hard to keep our fees as low as possible to make sure that as much of each donation as possible is invested in our parks. For donations without Gift Aid, at least 92% of your donation is invested in parks. MyParkScotland is a not-for-profit registered Scottish charity (No. SC045424) and any fees taken go towards covering essential operating costs.
You can find out more information about Gift Aid and MyParkScotland fees in the main Small Print section.
