he refurbishment of the fencing around Hayburn Park is an essential element in enhancing the local area, ensuring that the park feels inviting and safe to use, encouraging a sense of pride and ownership of the park.
The Hayburn Playpark Association are in the final stages of the redeveloping the space into a multi-purpose park that encourages outdoor learning, activity, health and overall well being for the long term benefit of the local community.
As the park re-development nears completion the poor state of repair of the fencing is laid bare and these rusting railings have a negative impact on the overall presentation of our newly up-graded park.
There are 1,560 railings surrounding the park and painting is going to cost £3.75 per railing.
Not only will painting the railings make a visual improvement but the harmful lead paint will be removed making it safer for local wildlife and the children off all ages who use the play park
Supporting Hayburn Play Park Association fund the painting of the railings will enable the committee to continue to offer free key community events throughout the year for local residents, and beyond, to enjoy.
So please don't sit on the fence...help us paint it!!

Hayburn Play Park have just received an award of £3880 from Area West Partnership Funding to contribute to our railing painting project!
This means that with the generous donations form members of our local community we now have a total of £4,194.00 raised – that’s 71% of our total aim!
This means that pretty soon painting will get started on our rusty railings. The more money we raise the more railings can get painted.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who have already donated – we can’t do this without all your generous support. I’m sure you will all agree that our park is really looking fantastic.
Now for the icing on the cake!

MyParkScotland provides a safe and easy way to make a donation to support this great project.
To make a donation, click on ‘Support Now’ and select your choice of Gift Level. If you are a UK tax payer, selecting a Level which includes Gift Aid means that we can top up your donation at no extra cost to you. Adding Gift Aid typically means that your online donation of, for example, £10 becomes a park investment of £11.53 (after paying platform and management fees). You need to provide your address to enable us to claim Gift Aid.
Gift Aid is a Government scheme which allows charities to increase the value of donations made to them. Gift Aid makes a huge difference to small charities and local organisations, but if they aren’t registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator and HMRC, they can’t claim Gift Aid (and many that could claim Gift Aid don’t because they find the process too complicated). At MyParkScotland, we take care of the claim process on eligible donations, so that the Friends and community groups can concentrate on the great work they do in our parks.
We use PayPal to manage online donations and they charge a small platform fee for handling donations. We work hard to keep our fees as low as possible to make sure that as much of each donation as possible is invested in our parks. For donations without Gift Aid, at least 92% of your donation is invested in parks. MyParkScotland is a not-for-profit registered Scottish charity (No. SC045424) and any fees taken go towards covering essential operating costs.
You can find out more information about Gift Aid and MyParkScotland fees in the main Small Print section.
