The first session included all the projects giving an update of their progress and it was fantastic to hear all of the interesting work going on and having the space to share ideas and experiences.

We then took the “classroom” outside with a tour of Heeley park where we learnt about the history about the park and the plans of the Heeley Development Trust for the future.

The after lunch session offered us the opportunity to do some more detailed planning for our projects which was really useful in terms of getting support and input from colleagues from other Rethinking Parks projects.
Overall a great session that was rounded off with a tour of the impressive Sim Studios and a networking session. Looking forward to the next one and catching up with all the exciting work going on with the Rethinking Parks projects.
